Have You Seen Her?

One month ago today, Um mês atrás no dia de hoje
I was happy as a lark. Eu estava feliz por impulso
But now, I go for walks. Mas agora, eu ando por calçadas.
To the movies, maybe to the park. Para os filmes, talvez para o park.

And have a seat on the same old bench. E me sente no mesmo velho banco.
To watch the children play. (huh) Para ver a criança brincar.
You know, tomorrow is their future. Você sabe, amanhâ é o futuro deles.
But to me, just another day. Mas para mim, apenas outro dia.

They all gather around me. Eles todos ficaram em volta de mim.
They seem to know my name. Eles sabiam meu nome.
We laugh, tell a few jokes. Nós rimos, contamos algumas piadas.
But it still doesn't ease my pain. Mas isso ainda não ameniza minha dor.

I know I can't hide from a memory. Eu sei que não posso me esconder de uma lembrança.
'Though, day after day I've tried. Pensei, dia depois de outro dia eu tenho tentado.
I keep sayin' she'll be back. Eu continuo dizendo que ela vai voltar.
But today, again I lied. Mas hoje, de novo eu menti.

Oh, I see her face everywhere I go! Oh, eu vejo o rosto dela em todo o lugar que vou!
On the street, and even at the picture show! Na rua, e também no cinema!
Have you seen her? Você tem visto ela?
Tell me, have you seen her? Me diga,
Você tem visto ela?

Oh, I hear her voice as the cold winds blow. Oh, eu ouço a voz dela igual aos ventos frios que sopram.
In the sweet music on my radio. Na doce musica no meu rádio.
Have you seen her? Você tem visto ela?
Tell me, have you seen her? Me diga,
Você tem visto ela?

Why, oh, why? Por quê,oh, por quê?
Did she have to leave and go away? (oh, yeah) Ela teve de sair e ir embora?

Oh-oh-oh, I've been used to havin' someone to lean on? Eu
And I'm lost!
Baby, I'm lost (Oh)!

Oh, she left her kiss upon my lips.
But left that break within my heart.
Have you seen her?
Tell me, have you seen her?

Oh, I see her hand reaching out to me.
Only she can set me free.
Have you seen her?
Tell me, have you seen her?

[Spoken:]
As another day comes to an end,
I'm lookin' for a letter or somethin'.
Anything that she would send.
With all the people I know,
I'm still a lonely man.
You know, it's funny.
I thought I had her in the palm of my hand.

[Repeat to fade:]
Have you seen her?
Tell me, have you seen her (tell me, have you seen her?)
