Wherever You Will Go /Onde quer que você irá (The Calling)

So lately, been wonderingWho will be there to take my place
When I'm gone you'll need love to light the shadows on your face
If a great wave shall fall and fall upon us all
Then between the sand and stone could you make it on your own.

CHORUS:
If I could, then I would
I'd go wherever you will go
Way up high or down low, I'd go wherever you will go

And maybe, I'll find out
A way to make it back someday
To watch you, to guide you, through the darkest of your days
If a great wave shall fall and fall upon us all
Well then I hope there's someone out there
who can bring me back to you

CHORUS
If I could, then I would
I'd go wherever you will go
Way up high or down low, I'd go wherever you will go

Run away with my heart
Run away with my hope
Run away with my love

I know now, just quite how
My life and love might still go on
In your heart, in your mind I'll stay with you for all of time

CHORUS
If I could, then I would
I'd go wherever you will go
Way up high or down low, I'd go wherever you will go

If I could turn back time
I'd go wherever you will go
If I could make you mine
I'd go wherever you will go
I'd go wherever you will go

How Could I Know? / Cómo eu podia saber? (Raul Seixas)

Reformulation  ReformulaçãoRearrange the game you're in
Let's start from the begin
With confidence you'll win
That's the reason you were born
'cause Jesus Christ, man  Jesus Cristo, homem
Won't be coming back no more
He's set up his proper loss
And you know well that he did
Just what he could have done
When I was growing
And my hair was getting longer
I was feeling so much stronger
I could carry my guitar
And I knew that I could sing
But, hey, how could I know
The wind would blow in the rain?
Hey, how could I see
What would they make out of me?
When I was little
Used to dream I was a king
Now they taught me how to sing
Think I've got most everything
I could ever as 'fore
You've got your pencil
Your guitar, your amplifier  amplificador
You will set this world on fire
Like Nero did to Rome  Roma
But, hey, how could I know
My eyes could see in the dark?
Hey, don't press on me
I'm not to blame, can't you see?
It's been to long now
Since the latest reb has gone
Who knows will be the next
To go down in History Historia

Lucille / Lucia (Kenny Rogers)

In a bar in Toledo,  Num bar em Toledo,
across from the depot,  em frente a armazem
On a bar stool,  Num tamborete
she took off her ring.  ela tirou seu anel.

I thought I'd get closer,  Eu pensei que me aproximaria
so I walked on over,  Então, eu fui até ela.
I sat down and asked her her name.   Eu sentei e eu perguntei qual era o nome dela.

When the drinks finally hit her,  Quando as bebidas finalmente chegaram até ela.
She said:  Ela diz:

“I'm no quitter,  Eu não sou de desistir,
But, I finally quit livin' on dreams!  Mas, eu finalmente deixei de viver sonhando.
I'm hungry for laughter,  Estou faminta de gargalhadas

and here ever after,  e de aqui para frente
I'm after whatever the other life brings.”

In the mirror I saw him,  No espelho eu vi ele,
and I closely watched him.  e eu fixadamente olhei ele.
I thought how he looked out of place.  E pensei como ele pareceu estar fora lugar.

He came to the woman.  Ele veu para a mulher
who sat there beside me.  quem sentava do meu lado.
He had a strange look on his face.

The big hands were calloused.  As grandes mãos estavam cheias de calos.
He looked like a mountain.  Ele parecia uma montanha.
For a minute, I thought I was dead.

But, he started shaking!  Mas, ele começou a balançar.
His big heart was breaking!  Seu grande coração estava quebrando!
He turned to the woman and said:  Ele virou para a mulher e diz.

”You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille!  Você escolhou uma boa hora de deixar-me, Lucille.
With four hungry children and a crop in the field!
I've had some bad times!  Eu tenho tido algums maos tempos.
I've lived through some sad times!  Eu tenho vivido por tempos tristes.
But this time your hurting won't heal!
You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille."  Você escolhou uma boa hora de deixar-me, Lucille.

After he left us,  Após dele deixar-nós,
I ordered more whiskey.  Eu pedí mais whiskey.
I thought how she'd made him look small.  Eu pensei como ela tinha feito ele aparecer pequenho.

From the lights of the bar room,   Desde as luzes do salão do bar.

to a rented hotel room,  Até um quarto do hotel
we walked without talking at all.  Nós caminhamos sem nada falar.

She was a beauty,  Ela era uma beleza
but when she came to me,  mas quando ela chegou em mim
She must have thought I'd lost my mind!

I couldn't hold her,  Eu não pude segurar ela.
[Be]‘cause the words that he told her,  Pois as palavras que ele falou para ela
Kept coming back time after time:  Voltavam elas uma e outra vez.

Blue Bayou / Pantano Azul (Linda Ronstadt)

I feel so bad I got a worried mind
I'm so lonesome all the time
Since I left my baby behind
On Blue Bayou

Saving nickles saving dimes
Working til the sun don't shine
Looking forward to happier times
On Blue Bayou

I'm going back someday
Come what may
To Blue Bayou
Where the folks are fine
And the world is mine
On Blue Bayou
Where those fishing boats
With their sails afloat
If I could only see
That familiar sunrise
Through sleepy eyes
How happy I'd be

Gonna see my baby again
Gonna be with some of my friends
Maybe I'll feel better again
On Blue Bayou

Saving nickles saving dimes
Working til the sun don't shine
Looking forward to happier times
On Blue Bayou

I'm going back someday
Come what may
To Blue Bayou
Where the folks are fine
And the world is mine
On Blue Bayou
Where those fishing boats
With their sails afloat
If I could only see
That familiar sunrise
Through sleepy eyes
How happy I'd be

Oh that boy of mine
By my side
The silver moon
And the evening tide
Oh some sweet day
Gonna take away
This hurting inside
Well I'll never be blue
My dreams come true
On Blue Bayou

Midnight Train to Georgia /Trem da meia noite para a Georgia (Gladys Night)

L.A. proved too much for the man,
So he's leavin' the life he's come to know,
He said he's goin' back to find
Ooh, what's left of his world,
The world he left behind
Not so long ago.
He's leaving,
On that midnight train to Georgia,
And he's goin' back
To a simpler place and time.
And I'll be with him
On that midnight train to Georgia,
I'd rather live in his world
Than live without him in mine.
He kept dreamin'
That someday he'd be a star.
But he sure found out the hard way
That dreams don't always come true.
So he pawned all his hopes
and he even sold his old car
Bought a one way ticket
To the life he once knew,
Oh yes he did,
He said he would
Be leavin
On that midnight train to Georgia,
And he's goin' back
To a simpler place and time.
And I'll be with him
On that midnight train to Georgia,
I'd rather live in his world
Than live without him in mine.
Go, gonna board, gonna board,
Gonna board the midnight train.
Gotta go, gonna board
Gonna board
Gonna board the midnight train
(repeat, fade)

The Way / O caminho (Fastball)

They made up their minds. Eles tomaram a decisão.
And they started packing. E começaram fazendo os bagagens.
They left before the sun came up that day. Partiram antes da madrugada esse dia.
An exit to eternal summer slacking Uma saida dos verãos eternos de descansos.
But where were they going without ever knowing the way?
They drank up the wine. Beberam o vinho.
And they got to talking E começaram falando.
They now had more important things to say. Agora tinham coisas mais importantes para conversar.
And when the car broke down they started walking. E quando o carro deu pao começaram andando.
Where were they going without ever knowing the way?

Chorus: Choral:

Anyone could see the road that they walk on is paved in gold.
And its always summer, they'll never get cold. É sempre verão e nunca fica frio.
They'll never get hungry. Nunca vão ter fome.
They'll never get old and gray. Nunca vão ficar velhos e cinzentos.
You can see their shadows wandering off somewhere.
They won't make it home! Não vou voltar a casa
But, they really don't care! Mas, não les importa muito.
They wanted the highway! Querian a estrada.
Theyre happy there today, today!

The children woke up. As filhos despertaram.
And they couldnt find 'em. E não os encontraram.
They left before the sun came up that day. Sairam antes o sol despertar esse dia.
They just drove off Eles simplesmente foram dirigindo
And left it all behind 'em. deixando tudo detrás deles.
But where were they going without ever knowing the way?

Anyone could see the road that they walk on is paved in gold Qualquera podia ver que a estrada que eles andam é feita de ouro.
And its always summer, theyll never get cold. É sempre verão, e não passarão frio nunca.
Theyll never get hungry. Nunca vão passar fome.
Theyll never get old and gray. Nunca vão ficar velhos e cinzentos.
You can see their shadows wandering off somewhere.
They wont make it home. Não voltaram a casa.
But they really don't care. Mas realmente não lhes importa.
They wanted the highway Queriam a estrada.
They're happy there today , today (repeat) Estão mais felizes ahí agora! Agora!

Zombies / Zumbi (Cranberry)

Another head hangs lowly, Outra cabeça frouxa baixa
Child is slowly taken.
And the violence caused such silence,
Who are we mistaken?

But you see, it's not me, it's not my family.
In your head, in your head they are fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are crying...

In your head, in your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie,
Hey, hey, hey. What's in your head,
In your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie?
Hey, hey, hey, hey, oh, dou, dou, dou, dou, dou...

Another mother's breakin',
Heart is taking over.
When the vi'lence causes silence,
We must be mistaken.

It's the same old theme since nineteen-sixteen.
In your head, in your head they're still fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are dying...

In your head, in your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie,
Hey, hey, hey. What's in your head,
In your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie?
Hey, hey, hey, hey, oh, oh, oh,
Oh, oh, oh, oh, hey, oh, ya, ya-a...

Stairway to Heaven / Escada para o céu (Led Zeppelin)

There's a lady who's sure. Tem uma mulher quem está segura
All that glitters is gold
And shes buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows
If the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and shes buying a stairway to heaven.

Theres a sign on the wall
But she wants to be sure
cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
In a tree by the brook
Theres a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.

Theres a feeling I get
When I look to the west,
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen
Rings of smoke through the trees,
And the voices of those who standing looking.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.

And its whispered that soon
If we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason.
And a new day will dawn
For those who stand long
And the forests will echo with laughter.

If theres a bustle in your hedgerow
Dont be alarmed now,
Its just a spring clean for the may queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by
But in the long run
Theres still time to change the road youre on.
And it makes me wonder.

Your head is humming and it wont go
In case you dont know,
The pipers calling you to join him,
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow,
And did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind.

And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul.
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How evrything still turns to gold.
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last.
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll.

I Write Sins, not Tradgedies / Eu escrevo pecados, não tragedias

Oh, well imagine; as I'm pacing the pews in a church corridor,
And I can't help but to hear,
No I can't help but to hear an exchanging of words:
"what a beautiful wedding,
What a beautiful wedding!" says a bridesmaid to a waiter.
"yes, but what a shame, what a shame,
the poor groom's bride is a whore." A noiva do pobre noivo é uma prostituta.

I'd chime in with a "haven't you people ever heard of closing a god damn door?!"no,
It's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality.
I'd chime in "haven't you people ever heard of closing a god damn door?!"no,
It's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of...

Well in fact
I'll look at it this way, I mean technically our marriage is saved!
Well this calls for a toast, so pour the champagne!
Oh! well in fact
I'll look at it this way, I mean technically our marriage is saved!
Well this calls for a toast, so pour the champagne, pour the champagne!

I'd chime in with a "haven't you people ever heard of closing a god damn door?!"no,
It's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality.
I'd chime in "haven't you people ever heard of closing a god damn door?!"no,
It's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality.

Again.

I'd chime in "haven't you people ever heard of closing a god damn door?!"no,
It's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality.
I'd chime in "haven't you people ever heard of closing a god damn door?!"no,
It's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality.

Again.

Dear Abby: Is it normal not to want to travel?

DEAR ABBY: Is it possible -- or normal -- for someone to lack the desire to travel? I am a twenty-three-year-old female college graduate with a good job. I am involved in a serious relationship and still live with my parents because of financial constraints. I like to think my life is pretty normal.

When my friends graduated from college, they all backpacked through Europe before starting their jobs. I was content to stay home, relax and readjust to life off-campus. Now that my friends are accruing vacation time, they are planning all sorts of trips -- cruises, vacations, road trips to visit old roommates, etc. None of this appeals to me.

Nada disso me agrada.

I am a nervous traveler and tend to feel uncomfortable when I'm outside my "comfort zone." I'm not afraid to admit that I can be uptight, and I don't "roll with the punches" very well.

Last summer my boyfriend and I spent several weekends in a beach town about two hours away. I had a great time, although I was just as happy to go home at the end. I am not depressed or aloof. Give me an afternoon at the local mall or a movie rather than a weekend in Las Vegas. Am I weird? -- HOMEBODY IN MASSACHUSETTS

Sou eu esquisita? Caseira em Massachusetts

DEAR HOMEBODY: Weird? No. However, because of your reluctance to step out of your "comfort zone," you are missing an opportunity to learn firsthand that this country -- and the world around you -- is filled with wonderful people who would be worth knowing if you could only broaden your horizons. If this didn't bother you on some level, you would not have written me. A therapist who specializes in anxiety disorders could help you do that. I wish you good luck -- and maybe even "bon voyage."

Querida Caseira: Esquisita?

Lets dance in style,
lets dance for a while.
Heaven can wait were only watching the skies.
Hoping for the best but expecting the worst.
Are you going to drop the bomb or not?

Let us die young or let us live forever.
We don't have the power but we never say never.
Sitting in a sandpit,
life is a short trip.
The music's for the sad men.

Can you imagine when this race is won?
Turn our golden faces into the sun.
Praising our leaders were getting in tune.
The music's played by the madmen.

Forever young,
I want to be forever young.
Do you really want to live forever, forever and ever

Some are like water,
some are like the heat
Some are a melody and some are the beat.
Sooner or later they all will be gone.
Why don't they stay young?

Its so hard to get old without a cause
I dont want to perish like a fading horse
Youth is like diamonds in the sun
And dimonds are forever

So many adventures couldn't happen today.
So many songs we forgot to play.
So many dreams are swinging out of the blue.
We let them come true.

Big in Japan / Grande no Japão (Alphaville)

Winters cityside Inverno na cidade,
Crystal bits of snowflakes all around my head and in the wind.
I had no illusions. Eu não tinha ilusões.
That I'd ever find a glimpse of summer's heatwaves in your eyes.
You did what you did to me, now its history, I see. Você me fez o que você me fez, e agora é historia.
Here's my comeback on the road again.
Things will happen while they can. As coisas acontecem emquanto possam.
I will wait here for my man tonight, Eu vou esperar aqui para o meu homem esta noite.

It's easy when your big in Japan.

When your big in japan, tonight.
Big in japan, be tight,
Grande em Japão, seja apertado

Big in Japan, where the eastern sea's so blue. Grande no Japão, onde o mar do leste é tão azul!
Big in japan, alright, pay, then I'll sleep by your side.
Things are easy when you're big in japan, when youre big in Japan.

Neon on my naked skin. Pisca pisca na minha pele nú.
Passing silhouettes of strange illuminated mannequins. Sombras nas paredes de manequins estranhos iluminados.
Shall I stay here at the zoo. Devo ficar aqui, no zoológico?
Or shall I go and change my point of view for other ugly scenes.
You did what you did to me, now its history I see... Você me fez o que você me fez, e agora é historia, eu vejo.
Things will happen while they can. As coisas vão acontecer em quanto possam.
I will wait here for my man tonight, its easy when youre big in japan
É facil quando a gente é grande no Japão.

Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay /Sentado no cais da baia (Otis Redding)

Sittin' in the mornin' sun. Sentando no sol da manhã.
I'll be sittin' when the evenin' come. Eu estarei sentado quando anoitecer.
Watching the ships roll in. Assistindo os barcos chegando devagar.
And then I watch 'em roll away again, yeah. E então e olho eles partindo novamente.

I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay. Estou sentado no cais da baia.
Watching the tide roll away. Olhando a maré indo devagar.
Ooo, I'm just sittin' on the dock of the bay. Ooh, estou sentado no cais da baia.
Wastin' time. Perdendo tempo.

I left my home in Georgia. Eu deixei meu lar em Georgia,
Headed for the 'Frisco bay. Indo para a baia de Frisco.
'Cause I've had nothing to live for.
And look like nothin's gonna come my way. E parece que nada acontecerá para mim.

So, I'm just gonna sit on the dock of the bay. Então, eu simplesmente ficarei sentado no cais da baia.
Watching the tide roll away. Olhando a maré ir embora.
Ooo, I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay. Ooh, estou sentado no cais da baia.
Wastin' time. Perdendo tempo.

Look like nothing's gonna change. Parece que nada vai mudar.
Everything still remains the same. Tudo ainda continua na mesma.
I can't do what ten people tell me to do.
So I guess I'll remain the same, yes.

Sittin' here resting my bones. Sentando aqui descansando meus ossos.
And this loneliness won't leave me alone.
It's two thousand miles I roamed. Faz duas mil léguas vagando.
Just to make this dock my home. Só para fazer do cais minha casa.

Now, I'm just gonna sit at the dock of the bay. Agora, ficarei sentado no cais da baia.
Watching the tide roll away. Olhando a maré ir embora.
Oooo-wee, sittin' on the dock of the bay. Oooo-wee, sentando no cais da baia, perdendo tempo.
Wastin' time. Perdendo tempo.

got to be there /Tenho que está aí (Michael Jackson)

Got to be there, got to be there
In the morning
When she says hello to the world
Got to be there, got to be there
Bring her good times
And show her that she's my girl
Oh what a feeling there'll be
The moment I know she loves me
'Cause when I look in her eyes I realize
I need her sharing her world beside me

So I've got to be there
Got to be there in the morning
And welcome her into my world
And show her that she is my girl
When she says, "Hello world!"
I need her sharing the world beside me

That's why I've got to be there
Got to be there where love begins
And that's everywhere she goes
I've got to be there so she knows
That when she's with me, she's home

Got to be there
Got to be there

Knowing Me and Knowing You / Conhecendo a mim e Conhecendo a Você (Abba)

No more carefree laughter
Silence ever after
Walking through an empty house, tears in my eyes
Here is where the story ends, this is goodbye

Knowing me, knowing you (ah-haa)
There is nothing we can do
Knowing me, knowing you (ah-haa)
We just have to face it, this time were through
(this time were through, this time were through
This time were through, were really through)
Breaking up is never easy, I know but I have to go
(I have to go this time
I have to go, this time I know)
Knowing me, knowing you
Its the best I can do

Memries (memries), good days (good days), bad days (bad days)
Theyll be (theyll be), with me (with me) always (always)
In these old familiar rooms children would play
Now theres only emptiness, nothing to say

Knowing me, knowing you (ah-haa)
There is nothing we can do
Knowing me, knowing you (ah-haa)
We just have to face it, this time were through
(this time were through, this time were through
This time were through, were really through)
Breaking up is never easy, I know but I have to go
(I have to go this time
I have to go, this time I know)
Knowing me, knowing you
Its the best I can do

Fernando (Abba)

Can you hear the drums Fernando? Você pode ouvir o tambor, Fernando?
I remember long ago another starry night like this
In the firelight Fernando
You were humming to yourself and softly strumming your guitar
I could hear the distant drums
And sounds of bugle calls were coming from afar

They were closer now Fernando
Every hour every minute seemed to last eternally
I was so afraid Fernando
We were young and full of life and none of us prepared to die
And I'm not ashamed to say
The roar of guns and cannons almost made me cry

There was something in the air that night
The stars were bright, Fernando
They were shining there for you and me
For liberty, Fernando
Though we never thought that we could lose
There's no regret
If I had to do the same again
I would, my friend, Fernando

Now we're old and grey Fernando
And since many years I haven't seen a rifle in your hand
Can you hear the drums Fernando?
Do you still recall the fateful night we crossed the Rio Grande?
I can see it in your eyes
How proud you were to fight for freedom in this land

There was something in the air that night
The stars were bright, Fernando
They were shining there for you and me
For liberty, Fernando
Though we never thought that we could lose
There's no regret
If I had to do the same again
I would, my friend, Fernando

There was something in the air that night
The stars were bright, Fernando
They were shining there for you and me
For liberty, Fernando
Though we never thought that we could lose
There's no regret
If I had to do the same again
I would, my friend, Fernando
Yes, if I had to do the same again
I would, my friend, Fernando

I'll be There (Jacksons)

You and I must make a pact, we must bring salvation back. Voce e eu devemos fazer um pacto, devemos fazer a salvação voltar.

Where there is love, I'll be there Onde tenha amor, ahí estaremos.

I'll reach out my hand to you, Eu vou entregar minha mão pra você.
I'll have faith in all you do. Eu vou ter fé em tudo o que você fizer.
Just call my name, Apenas me chame
and I'll be there. e eu vou até ahí

[Chorus:]
And oh - I'll be there to comfort you, Eu vou ser o seu conforto.
Build my world of dreams around you, Construiremos nosso mundo e nossos sonhos juntos.
I'm so glad that I found you. Eu estou tão contente em te encontrar!
I'll be there with a love that's strong. Eu terei um
amor forte.
I'll be your strength, Eu vou ser a sua força.
I'll keep holding on. Eu seguirei lhe segurando.
- yes I will, yes I will. Sim, farei! Sim, eu farei.

Let me fill your heart with joy and laughter
Togetherness, well that's all I'm after
Whenever you need me, I'll be there
I'll be there to protect you, with an unselfish love I respect you
Just call my name and I'll be there

If you should ever find someone new,
I know he'd better be good to you.

[Chorus]

If you should ever find someone new, I know he'd better be good to you
'Cos if he doesn't, I'll be there

Don't you know, baby, yeah yeah
I'll be there, I'll be there, just call my name, I'll be there

(Just look over your shoulders, honey! - ooh!)

I'll be there, I'll be there, whenever you need me, I'll be there

Don't you know, baby, yeah yeah
